A message to all members and non-members of GEMS Club

It seems the whole world is "Lost in Translation" ! It is time that we find our real selves again by delving in true meanings. And, this is the main purpose of creating GEMS Club on our way to GEMS Community and ultimately the Silk World, a world which has been depicted only in Utopias until now.

Let me explain why and how we are "Lost in Translations." In the Summer of 2002, though not very young, I answered a call by The Holy See, Pope Jean Paul II, and participated in Toronto's World Youth Day. This was an International event that The Late Pope initiated in support of World Peace and took place every four years in a major city in a different country and millions of young people from different parts of the world attended and took part in a ten day festivity waiting to be addressed by the Pope.

The theme as usual was World Peace and the Motto that the youth were addressed by was " You are the Salt of the Earth, You are the Light of the World", Mathew 5:13, 14. This verse was printed in all forms and colors on every item that you could find during that event; from paper cups, T-shirts, hats, banners, buses, trains, airplanes to every wall in all the cities of the thirteen Provinces and Territories of Canada, especially, the city of Toronto in the Province  of Ontario.

As the Pope recited this verse in his salutation and as the opening statement of his address to the youth, millions of candles in the hands of the youth were lit up at once creating an amazing scene in a highly moving and uplifting spirit.

There, while working as a volunteer, I interviewed about 150 young people from different backgrounds among the 4.5 Million attendees who all seemed quite pious and very devoted to their cause and had come from all walks of life and all parts of the world to experience an state of exaltation and carry the Pope's Peace Message.

After hearing his Holy Message, I asked each one of them the same question " What did the Holy Father mean today by addressing us from the pulpit "You are the Salt of the Earth, You are the Light of the World"?

Every one of them gave the same answer; "Well, we, the young, are the "Flavor" and the "Joy" of our families and the whole world."  Unfortunately, I was not too impressed by their foolish answers, although, I felt compelled to nod positively. But, deep in my heart, I was murmuring " I guess you all are deeply "Lost in Translation", like the rest of the world. May God bless both you and the world."

Not even one of them thought or made a gesture about the other precious qualities of salt, especially, its important universal roles as a main preservative and as the most powerful disinfectant all through the history, specially, in ancient and Jesus times. And, none of them even knew the second parts of these verses. When Jesus asks "What happens when salt loses its strength, how its saltiness will be restored? And, if not restored, then what happens? Well, obviously, everything ruts."

None of these young zealots who were so passionate about their cause had the slightest idea that "Light", too, not only was the most effective disinfectant, but was also the source of life and the instrument of manifesting "The Truth", as well. And,  none of the knew when Jesus preaches "Know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free."  he means that one would only know the truth in light not in darkness.

Being "Lost in Translation" , it seemed none of them had really gotten the Papa's message. Let alone, taking on this divine mission by acting as "The Salt and the Light of the World".

"Lost in Translation" is seen everywhere, in different ways and the different fields. For example, once referred to "The Stars" as those sparkling diamond in heavens which are sources of light, as we used to see them shining bright in the sky. In some instances "Star' symbolized anything which could exude light or be source of "Enlightenment". But, today, those concepts seem to have been totally lost, and, the word "Star" can be referred to anyone or anything but to its true role and meaning.

We would like "Stardom" to find its rightful place and gain back its true status - "Shining Bright and Enlightening". Therefore, we have created Global Enlightenment Movement Stardom Club (GEMS Club).

So, today, if we have founded the GEMS Club it does not mean that we are Precious Stone collectors, or we are very fond of gems and jewels. But "GEMS" have several profound symbolic meaning for us which we hold very dear and stick to.

1- GEMS symbolizes Originality, Genuineness, and the True Essence. We are about reviving that "True Identity".

2 - The profound process which a piece of solid carbon has to go through; the immense heat and pressure which has to take to be purified, the time which has to endure to become crystallized, the files and the strikes of the stone cutter which must tolerate in order to become polished and able to reflect light and brilliance - all are parts of Transformation Process of becoming something better - becoming sublime, becoming a "GEM".

3 - GEMS symbolize Substance, Purity, Beauty, Excellence, Perfection, Brilliance, Brightness, Reflections, Preciousness, and Value. We want to attain and maintain these qualities.

4 - GEMS reflect Light, the Sources of Energy and Life. GEMS are Enlightening and Empowering and so are we.

5 - GEMS and crystals such as Diamond, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Amethyst, etc. all have Harmonious Molecule System ( There is Equality and Balance among the molecules) and this is the main reason for their solidness, hardness, sharpness, brightness, and value. The more harmonious, the more balanced, and the more equal - the stronger their bonds will be and the higher their qualities and value will become. So, shall be are GEMS members.

Now, we know; Perfect Harmony, Equality, and Solidarity rules in GEMS WORLD - a Brighter, Shinier, and Better World.

Let's bring about this world together.

Remember, we are like rays of light. Separated, we are like rays of light passing through a window pane. Together, we are like the same rays coming out of a magnifying glass. In both cases we are the same energy. The first is scattered and defused but the second is concentrated and focused. The first can barely warm while the second can burn. We must be the latter.

And, we are all about " Becoming", "Transformation", "Enlightenment, and "Elevation". As Carbon 'Becomes" and "Transforms " from raw and rough state into a precious Brilliant Diamond.

Please, find a purpose to join and by becoming a partof Gems Community; be a source of light, become much stronger, and live a more meaningful life.
